I believe that he had one testicle removed due to cancer. If I am wrong, someone feel free to correct me.

Looks as though Armstrong has been cleared of the allegations about his '99 title:

It's interesting that WADA is now complaining about the publicity; they didn't seem to have any problem when the alleged violations were leaked.

They should just make it Tour D'America as a punishment.

Using statements like "always" and "never" and terms like "hate" are bad tools to use when trying to make a point as they are easily discounted. Cheers isn't the best place to get your cultural infomation. Making broad statements like "The French hate us." is a bit much, don't you think?
And ASUADPI, since when are the journalists for certain sports newspapers the voice for an entire nation? When they are, your statement might actually hold some validity, so until then, I rest my case in saying that it's not the "French people" doing the witch hunt.
E.T.A. Thanks RACooper...I think we posted around the same time. It's nice to see people who don't think journalists are the voice for a nation.

this is an old post, but I read this and it pissed me off. I don't know if you are French or what, but you seem to be defending them pretty hard. They hate us, plain and simple. I have been all over France.....and have seen it and experienced it. I have also been to the Tour De France twice and have seen what they do to American bike riders during the race......throw shit at them, try to shove sticks in the spokes of the wheel.....alot of things like that. So please shut up.

This is huge news in the sport, especially since Ullrich and Basso were two of the main contenders for the next Tour. I wonder how the French press will respond, or if they just hold special disdain for Lance.

Oooh, I've been challenged by someone extra fratty!
I will not shut up. Just like you, I have a right to an opinion. I wasn't specifically defending the French, I was explaining that there are good ways to make a point.
I don't really give a rat's ass if it pissed you off. Not that I need to justify myself, but no I am not French, I am American. I used to live there, and have traveled throughout France extensively. I've also seen the Tour multiple times, several when Lance was the winner, and several before that. So before you go picking up a conversation that is well over, why not realize that others are allowed to think for themselves.
ETA: Lance did have Testicular cancer(stage III) that metastasized to his lungs and brain. He's one lucky dude to still be alive.

Thanks, I made that comment a month ago.......The French don't like us at all, plain and simple. And they were the ones doing the witch hunt concerning Lance Armstrong.

Well you seemed to resurrect a comment that I made last year, so I think I can respond after a month.
The entire French nation did not do the witch hunt...it was journalists. And if you read any of the previous posts you'd know the original allegations were made by an Irishman. Get informed.
