I would say it is more to the overall mentality of college students that I believe AKA2D alluded to in either this thread, the Diss thread or Overstatement thread versus "the process."

There has been a serious decline in all of our orgs in terms of the makeup of the members because there is an overall decline in the quality of students entering college and subsequently pursuing memebership into a D9 org. For many members, the orgs are seen akin to clubs (represent your crew, clique) and not an org that has a deep and profound history. Which is why it is so commonplace for Student A to want to be an AKA in high school but get to college and see the Deltas step and want to be a Delta only because they step better (IN THAT STUDENT'S MIND and on that campus).

Our orgs are losing the Talented 10th and are now being populated by the Trifling 20.

^^^Good point. Very good point.

But that raises a question:

If you know that the quality of today's college students are declining (moreso sign 'o the times than anything else), what do you do to counter it? Do you:

1. Raise the standards for college students joining?

ORRRRRRR...

2. Roll with the punches (ala: Boys will be boys and girls will be girls)?

Until something is done to adequately address this: your points, while I agree wholeheartedly with, are for the sake of the quality organizational membership, rather meaningless.

There you go veering into the wrong lane again. Your lane is the far right lane. Thanks.

^^^Oh such a good point. And I agree with Fee Fee about you needing a beating for that last comment. (LMAO!)

Anyway it is VERY sad to hear and see some of things that are going on campus'. (i.e fake rape at a stepshow, dissing other groups during pro shows)

I also wanted to agree with whoever posted about prophytes having a strong influence on neos. That is sooo true! I thank God that my pros (and nanas) did not take ANY mess. We learned to occupy our time worrying about Delta business. I did not have a clue as to what the AKA's, SGrho's, and ZETA's were doing or not doing. My only concern was knowing how to make Delta shine. . And now I try to impart similiar wisdom to my neos. Trust me there is sooo much work that needs to be done, so don't waste time on things that are not important.

Paying money and spending quality time to diss organizations is pointless and I cannot fathom how people can justify a lot of this.

I forgots to ask you this question. You seem very passionate about NPHC orgs, but I don't know which one you're in. I know you ain't a kappa, because I asked you. That leaves us with Alpha, Omega, PBS, and Ioter. Which one is it?
