To answer the original post, I think that you observation is just societal nature. As a man, it seems to me that women are attracted to power. I'm not saying this as a put down because as men I think that we are too. On college campuses that comes in the form of a certain status. Unfortunately it's a stereotype of our superficiality. Some people just buy into the hype. During my undergraduate matriculation I observed the same thing. Somehow people have come to correlate greek letters with guaranteed success or power.

I just made an observation about some of the dating habits of a few individuals & simply wanted to know if I were the only who may or may not have noticed it on their respective campuses....nothing more, nothing less. Had I known this would turn into a battle of wits, I may have simply kept it to myself..

Okay so this thread is old but I would like to reply! When I was in undergrad it was eaiser to date a guy who was greek because as many said before he would understand the time, money, etc. commitment. While in college my sorors and I always kicked it with the Alphas just because most of us were friends way before greeklife. Although I did not date any men that were greek all of my LS's except me and one other dated Kappa's and Ques. I personally don't make it a requirement for a guy to be greek because that SEVERLY limits my picks, but I know women who do. Although I do love the Alpha's I do not make the men of A phi A my only choice that's just crazy.
