neat badge

I am not familiar with Iota, but a relatively new and fresh fraternity is always welcome.
You have the NEATEST badge I have ever seen. And it is not
costume jewelry, it is cleverly designed and quite attractive.
Good luck to you guys.

Smile Thank you

Mr. Conard,

Thank you for your compliments about our Shield (I know my brothers like I love it dearly). The reason why I refer to what you call badge (knowing "badge" is similiar semantically to a Fraternity "Pin") as our Shield is relavant and not a point of contention with what you've said.
Quote:
The Shield of Iota Phi Theta (significantly, not a "crest" or "Coat of arms") is the most commonly used symbol of the Fraternity. -Iota Phi Theta's Int'l Website
Also, while we may be "relatively new" in comparision to a majority of our IFC/NPC/NPHC counterparts, we are not new per se.....being founded over 42+ years ago in 1963. Since there are many newer organizations founded after IOTA, I guess that is why the "new" tag may irk our brothers to hear from time to time.

Again, I thank you for your kind words, but I just wanted to let you or anyone else reading this know why our brothers may have not been 100% receptive to your comments.

Furthermore, if you wish, you can learn more about Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. via the link in my signature.

misunderstood?

I did not know the proper nomenclature nor as a Kansan I am
not familiar with Iota. I sent this as a compliment and am sorry
you saw it differently.

No offense taken Mr. Conard. I just wanted to clear up any misunderstanding dealing with the proper "nomenclature". Again, thank you for the compliment.
