There is a girl on the boards going by the name of DGP honey...which I read as Delta Gamma Rho, although I suppose it could be Delta Gamma Pi/Phi/Psi or something. Anyway, you may want to contact her, as if her sorority IS Delta Gamma Rho, she may object to a ritual being put out there under its' name. Is this making sense? I've read your website by the way, I think it's cool

It would be VERY hard to have a fraternity/sorority name that sounded nothing like any other ones out there. Think about it, there are only what, 24 letters in the Greek alphabet. Even though there are a shload of combo's to make it a 2 or 3 letter name, to not match at least one or 2 letters with another org is pretty unlikely, plus she'd have to go back through and change it throughout the stories!

The sapphire ceremony is really similar to a pearl ceremony we do at final dinners. It's really cool .

I think you should do more research and make sure you're not using another orgs name and make sure you're not insinuting another orgs name. I am a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, inc. Delta Gamma Rho sounds pretty close to my orgs name. You just want to make sure you don't want to offend any org. I'd hate for any of my sorors to think that you were making a reference to my organization.

I know I was thinking the same thing myself, total coincidence... and totally eerie too . Keep up the stories, they are awesome. I wish we had big beautiful houses to rush in, (sigh). Some how the classrooms in Scarfe just don't do it, LOL.

Yes, the abbreviation for our group (a local headquartered out of western MD) is DGP (for Delta Gamma Pi). P is the English equivlant for the Greek Pi; for Rho, the English equivelant is R. So Delta Gamma Rho is definitely not us! Good luck with your writing!
