Identity

Hey girls! I was just curious after looking at some websites from other sororities' chapters, what identity does DPhiE have on your campus? Like what are you called and ususally identified as? I'm just curious cause lately I've been seeing and hearing so much bashing on one another...so I was just curious.

Individual Identity--Esse Quam Videri

I would hope that each individual chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon would embody the sorority's motto, "Esse Quam Videri" and fully live out the meaning, "To be, rather than to seem to be." All of our chapters are different. Each has a different history. Each has a different personality. Each, no matter what those qualities, has the potential to make a difference on their campus and in many lives as long as they have themselves pointed in the right direction.

I also hope that each individual in each and every chapter strives to live out Delta Phi Epsilon's vision: "Setting the standard for sisterhood in an ever-changing world." It's imperative that as individuals, as leadership teams, as chapters, as alumnae and as women, that we develop a social consciousness and a commitment to think and act for the greater good in whatever task we take on and whatever path we walk in life. If we do, our world will be a better place for women, a better place for our children, and a better place for all.

We all have this power--as individuals and as a collective group. What we do with it is up to us as individuals. Whatever your personal image-values-ideals, chapter image-values-ideals, life choices-values-ideals, make the choice to move on up and set the standard.
