It sounds like the Chipotle's and Quizno's in some areas where people are complaining are awful. In mine they are pretty nice and never that full. The only problem I have is that Chipotle has like 7 ingredients total. Even at small local "Tex-mex" and Mexican shops they have more than that. However, their menu is teeny tiny so I guess that's reasonable.
Subway isn't bad to me, but I'd rather eat Quizno's.
I don't eat local fast-food burgers anymore. If I had to, it'd be Wendy's (and when I say fast food, I mean fast food b/c some of y'all are adding in sit down restaurants that are not in the fast food business.) I haven't eaten a burger at McD's or Burger King in some time. I will be eating In-N-Out in LA next month for a weekend on the regular.

I absolutely adore their black and blue salad
but their subs are a little lacking

Unfortunately.

The sandwich discussion sparked this:
Have any of you heard of Jersey Mikes? When I lived in TN, there was a Jersey Mikes right beside a Subway. I never understood how that Subway got any business when JM was so close, considering JM was so much tastier. I haven't seen a JM in years though. (Could be a TN thing, I guess.)

I've heard of that - I could swear I saw one either around here or on our way to NJ.

From the website, it looks like there are a few Jersey Mikes in NJ (21 by my count): http://www.jerseymikes.com/locations...city=&state=NJ .
ETA: When it comes to subs, I find that the local pizza places or Italian delis usually make much better subs than the chains.

There's a Jersey Mike's here in Columbia, and they're about to open up another. I remember being in high school and going a good 20 minutes out of the way just to get a Jersey Mikes sub for lunch.
Chick Fil A has never disappointed me. ever. I'll miss Chick Fil A when I move in the fall

Sounds like I'm just in the wrong state for Jersey Mikes. Shame, really. They make really good subs. Oh well.

My choices:
Subway - Subway IMHO is played out; it fell into the age-old "corporate trap": when it was lesser known, the quality of its food was far superior, but when it became a big corporate "household name", its quality went into the toilet
Chipotle - I had it for lunch so many times, it's played out for me.
McDonalds - 'Nuff said
Taco Bell - 'Nuff said
CiCi's Pizza - I ain't into all you can eat buffets, the food looks like it's been on display all day, even when it's fresh out the oven. More often than not, buffet food tastes stale and/or burned.
I actually love Burger King; it's almost become one of my four food groups. You BK haters don't know what you're talking about.
White Castle I used to love as a kid; it was tasty and inexpensive; nowadays it gives me bubbleguts something awful.
I still eat at Bob Evans, even though I made the mistake of taking a date there, and she said that their food tasted like "old folk" food. Seeing that the vast majority of its customers were old folks, I admit that she had a point. A dang good one at that.
Hardee's: When I was a kid, I begged my parents to take me to Hardees and they would not do it. I ate at Hardees for the 1st time in 2002 near the U. of Cincinnati campus. It was the nastiest food I ever had. It tasted like 90% salt! Shoot, with all that salt, even a deer would pass on eating that.

They have both of those in VA. I agree about Bob Evans.

I totally agree about Applebee's! I mean WTH! The one here in Oxford is never good and I always feel like the service is awful too.
(Note: Oxford is finally getting a free standing Chick-Fil-A. So it will be interesting to see how good it is. The one in the Student Union is okay but not the greatest.)

Totaly agree with Moe's and Applebee's. Ate at Moe's once and never again. Applebees are bars for old desperate people.
Good luck with the Chick-Fil-A, they are pretty hit and miss in my experience.

I've never had a bad Chik-fil-a experience. LOVE them.
I do eat Subway, but only because it is the only fast sub shop I've found with a chicken breast sandwich.
Burger King- NO.
McDonald's- Every now and then. Mostly fries and McFlurries.

Try to eat at home!
Don't need the big bugers and fries, pizza, or other fat food. LOL!
