There used to be a program for alumnae who lived 100 or more miles from an alumnae chapter. I believe it was called Rosevine. I don't know too much about it, nor do I know if it is still in place. I would look on the website (
www.alphaomicronpi.org) and search, or send a question in to HQ about it.
As for getting involved in an AC after you move to Tennessee - if you change your address with HQ, the president of the AC nearest you will get a printout of every AOII living in the zip codes that fall in that geographic area. The AC should then contact you to invite you to meetings. However, since you are looking forward to getting involved, I wouldn't wait on that. I would again look on the website for the AC president in your area of Tennessee and contact her before you move. Ask her to forward you their schedule of events for the coming year. Let her know you are coming. Our chapter always asked an active alumna to escort a newcomer to the first event so she wouldn't have to walk in alone, not knowing anyone. You could ask her about that as well.
Good luck and congratulations on your decision to stay involved as an alumna!
