Nervous.. just need some encouragement

Hey everyone, my local sorority has decided to become a chapter of BSP and our pinning ceremony is in a couple weeks. I have just pledged during winter semester. I'm just really nervous about the idea of "re-pledging" as I barely made it through the last time. I keep freaking out that the rest of the girls will make it through everything and I won't. Any words of encouragement would be appreciated.. I guess I'm just nervous.. I've got a lot on my plate this summer. Thanks...

Hang in there, Dani! Pledging in BSP is really no sweat. Your sisters will be there to guide you...and with all of you pledging together, you'll have lots of support!

Good luck!

There is really nothing to worry about with pledging!

My pledging ceremony was for the Ritual of Jewels Pledge and I thought it was pretty darn cool! The rituals seem to get more awesome as you advance in degree.

Sorry to crash! Are you saying Alpha Theta Chi (both chapters) will be a new chapter of Beta Sigma Phi???

From what I understand.. our president has been dealing with all the big stuff.. I just initiated last semester and they've been looking at this for almost a year...

What thetaprincess said. Ritual of Jewels is awesome...it's a really pretty ritual, and there's really nothing to worry about as far as pledging is concerned. You'll have all the rights and privileges of membership, and you won't have to go through this forever.

Are you going to be a RoJ chapter, or are you going Nu Phi Mu? Just curious.

I honestly don't know.. I do know we well be the Alpha Theta Chi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.. we're keeping our letters since that's what everyone knows us as and we have a pretty good history with the greek life of several colleges in the area.

As far as I know, International doesnt encourage Nu Phi Mu anymore.

SweetyD - my friend is actually the Phi Sig advisor at your school. She asked me about your chapter becoming BSP. Weird, cos Im both!

I would love to talk to your chapter president because of the whole PhiSig/BSP thing and Im just wondering what International is doing with the 6 month pledging thing...

Good luck, BSP is a great organization!!!!

We were pinned last weekend and we're supposed to be initiated near the beginning of fall semester.. the Kettering Chapter of BSP is doing our initiation so we have to work around the whole A section/B section thing... but as of right now we're back on campus (I'm sure you've heard about all of that)
