Living in California, it's exciting to read about recruitment at these big southern schools. Over here, everything is very laidback & it seems like the PNM's (at least at my school) are very relaxed & don't put as much time or effort into their appearance as the girls down south. I'm not saying they look awful but they don't come to recruitment wearing those cute dresses & sandals. Our girls are very relaxed wearing jeans, capris, & the ocassional skirt.

DPhiE at University of Florida made quota plus, but I don't know what the plus is.

What I heard was that most of the sororities made Quota or Quota Plus, but that a large number of PNMs didn't pick up their bids. I think ADPi has something like 3 openings for the year.

Isn't this the second SEC school where allegedly a "large number" didn't accept their bids / didn't show up for Bid Day? Is this an urban legend going around this year, or is something a little strange going on?

Forgot the SEC part of this thread! That information was about University of Southern California - but it IS true!

Oh, okay; I misunderstood (not the first time, won't be the last). Still, no matter what part of the country, it's interesting. I wonder if these are isolated incidents, or if GC will learn of more of this happening.

OH, I was like.... ADPi has THREE OPENINGS?! That would never happen at Carolina, unless something tragic happened.

OLE MISS RECRUITMENT

There are 807 PNM's signed up for Recruitment as of yesterday evening. There will probably be a few more since today is the deadline. I figure it might get to 850. So all of you math wizards can do the quota figures as forcast of what to expect as quota. We have 9 sororities.

I am going to throw a quess in...

Upper 70's-Low 80's. (Based on the 850 # and the % that have pledged over the last three years).

That would be great...not that all of the sororities don't want lots of new sisters but I think and know that having smaller pledge classes does benefit those new members big time

Ole Miss Recruitment starts this Sunday with Formal Convocation. Philanthropy Parties start on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005. There are 840 PNM's signed up. They had a few that were waiting to be processed and a few girls who transferred to Ole Miss because of Katrina signed up right before the deadline. Bid Day is October 2, 2005.

Holy Moly. If that number (~840) holds up, that would put quota around 93+. Even if around a forth dropped, y'all still might have 80+!

Let's hope quota will be in the 80s....that's what the NPC advisers are hoping for.....also, there will be more releases this year most likley to prepare for the large numbers released and the new quota system Ole Miss Panhellenic will use next recruitment...

BTW, the USC (California) chapter of ADPi no longer has those three openings, thank you very much!
