I think the video, was great, but definitely another side of Alliyah that we hadn't seen and won't be able to see.

Soror AKA2D'91 she did shoot another video prior to shooting Rock Da Boat. . .I want to say it was the video for More than a Woman.

Re: ROCKIN THA BOAT!

I loved the video and I saw the Behind the Music episode of Aaliyah. It was really nice and I'm glad that some of her friends and Damon Dash got a chance to talk about their memories of her. I hope they release her "More than a Woman" video. It looked hot when I saw the previews on Behind the Music.

Thanks, Soror.
It was "More Than A Woman". I saw bits and pieces of it on E! True Hollywood Story or Vh-1's Behind the Music last night. I was flipping back and forth from one to the other, so I don't remember which show had the footage.

I didnt see the one they had on BET but I did see the one they had on VH1. I dont remember the name of the show. They said that Aaliyah and Hype had three days to shoot the video but Aaliyah got tired on the second day and felt that Hype had enough shots to put the video together. The plane that they said originally took them there was suppose to pick them up as well but on the THIRD day. They said that she tried to get in contact with the original company but couldnt and decided to hire a new company to take her back.

As well they think that the pilot made a fake license to fly the plane and put a whole bunch of hours in the computer so it would look like he had flown with that company before. In reality it was his first day. They also said that the employee's of the company that was hired and all the people with Aaliyah were arguing because they were only expecting to pick up 5 and there were 8 people there. Then they said that there was about 800lbs more than the plane could hold. This really could have been avoided and im so sad that this had to happen to such a lovely young woman in the prime of her life.

I agree that both the video and the song were sides to Aaliyah that we had not seen. My question is, for Rock tha Boat to be a "freak me" song, why were there only girls in the video... Something that makes you go UM....

Very Eeerie

I watched this last night with Novella and we both agreed it was eerie. I like the song and had saw part ofthe video the last 2 weeks but never the whole thing. The very beginning and end are spooky -- not seeing her face, floating.

I think the video was great but like a couple of you said earlier, I don't dance that close to another chick. That was tooooooo close.

I feel good knowing that her last video she was in a celebratory mood/spirit.

I find comfort knowing that she died doing what she loved. Not many can say that.
