Nice try though.

Besides, I'm a woman, and the killers were men, so I can't relate to them, right?
Well you related to the black male killer of a white female, so I guess you can.

It's OK that you can relate to Emmett's killers. Just admit it.

Actually, I'm pretty right in that you can relate to sometimes not liking when someone whistles at you and understand where Emmett's killers were coming from just as you relate to a black killer of a white woman having felt discriminated.

Is this the case for anyone?

Does anyone want to create excuses? Perhaps reason through it?

Personally I think it's awful and there is no sympathy or empathy on my parts and I don't need to reason it or excuse it.

Seriously Rudey what is the point of this thread? What type of morally bereft person would sympathize with Emmett's killers? Or more to the point which of us wouldn't be outraged and disgusted by the racists who murdered Emmitt?

Actually, your analogy is incorrect. Till's killers weren't whistled at, a relative of the killers was the intended recipient. So if anything, I would relate to the woman, not the men, since they weren't the objects of the whistle.

I seriously think you have too much time on your hands. Would you like to help me work on my original research proposal?

And the other problem with this is that there were conflicting stories as to why the boy was killed in the first place. Glad you got one piece of it right Rudey, he allegedly whistled at a white woman which brought on his violent death. However his friends and family said no such incident occured and if I'm not mistaken the woman did much later but she was scared at the time to say anything. I like watching Rudey get all indignant though so let him keep trying.

Till's killers were protecting the girl.

Keep trying though.

Hey I'm at work all day in front of a computer with several monitors so it's not hard for me to post. You're the one in grad school that can't stop responding.

Conflicting reports? OK. Whatever you like. Either way some girls like jubilance get upset when guys whistle at them, some guys gets upset when they see a girl getting whistled at based on this, and so jubilance can see where they are coming from although it is an awful act that is wrong and unexcusable.

The thing is that some people can see where he's coming from just like they can see where a black guy that murders a white woman because of her race is coming from. They think it's inexcusable, but they see where he's coming from.

Conclusion: Either way, Emmett is dead and so is that woman. If someone can see where the black racists were coming from, they can surely have no problem seeing where the white racists were coming from.

There was no protecting to do Rudey but I'm glad to see which part of the story you have opted to believe. Till allegedly whistled at her in town in front of a store. Till was DRUG from his home hours later in the middle of the night by a group of drunk, pissed off white men and was beaten and hidden from the family he was visiting. But again, I like watching you get all riled up so let's keep it moving.

Who's riled up? Perhaps you? And who's believing what?

My point stands well.

Once again Rudey, your reading comprehension is failing.

I said I may not LIKE being whistled at, I didn't say I would get upset.

Try again.

Does your boss know you spend all day on the computer? That can't be good for your productivity.

Yes my boss provides the computers. What a dumb question. Keep studying in your grad program, maybe one day you'll be educated and can provide more substantial thoughts.
