We have this pizza place by my house called Pizza Man and they are pretty good! I used to love Little Caesars but they closed, the only one open is the one in K-Mart and they dont deliver! We mainly get Pizza Hut, however i think its really greasy too. They do have some really good breadsticks though!

Chuck E. Cheese has awesome pizza too, IMO

Also a big fan of Uno's/Due's downtown - not like the TGIFriday's crappy chain Unos' you see all over, good stuff.

In iowa city - Pizza pit dude, seriously. Where else can you get 4 pizzas for like 18 bucks, and the guy will even insult you when he delivers it . . . FOR FREE! For real though, I've got some great memories of rolling out of jake's at close and grabbing vendor pizza off the ped mall - that's where the real pizza is at u of i. No lie.
I so agree about Uno and Due downtown -- that is the best pizza ever -- the crust is insane. And yes, the chain Pizzeria Uno's are terrible.

But LMAO -- Pizza Pit!! That is TOO funny. I was just in Iowa City (homecoming -- first time I've been there in ages) and we, hrm, had a bit to drink at Vito's. Starving for pizza at 2:30 am, and after waiting at that ped mall vendor thing for like half an hour, we ordered Pizza Pit. Being used to how much everything costs in Chicago, I was sure I was hearing wrong when the guy said that it would be like $4.00 for our pizza. Where can you get a whole pizza for $4.00??? That is just crazy. And it was the most delicious pizza we ever had, too. What a walk down memory lane that was!

I would have to say Papa John's since I usually only get pizza from the chains. I know I'm probably missing out on great pizza elsewhere.

Methinks the taste of the food at the Airliner is definitely enhanced by a few well-timed Harvey Wallbangers . . . I went there during the day once, a long time ago, and it basically sucked ass . . . not like i remembered anyway

My stomach does not like Papa John's at all...

I'm partial to Pizza Hut. We have one on campus and it has never failed me.

We have a few local places that I like...Big Gino's...cheap pizza, unique taste. I don't know what they put in there, but it tastes like it has a bit of brown sugar. And then there's the Big Kahuna--their pizzas include food that's unique to Hawaii...kalua pig and pineapple. Their garlic cheese balls are also awesome.

And then there's the cheap cheap stuff. Magoo's. Definitely the college hangout on University Ave. Cheap pizza...$0.75 beers, who could ask for anything more? Pizza's not that great, but the cheap beer makes it better.

pineapple and ham pizza? What are you thinking? It has to be pepperoni, sausage, and green peppers

Giordano's, yes yes yes!!!!

I spent 12 loooonnng weeks in Chicago while on a US Govt training course. I swear it would've been quicker if I had just stuck Giordano's pizza directly to my thighs!!!

IowaHawkeye, I did live for awhile in Iowa, in Storm Lake....and there was a really great local pizza place there....but I can't for the life of me remember the name of the place....

YUM YUM YUM!!!

I totally should have told you!! It was all very disorganized. I bought the tickets and then completely forgot about it until the last minute. We ended up staying in the Amana Colonies (!!) because that was the closest place I could find a room.

It was great to see the Hawks win -- last year I saw them get slaughtered by Illinois.

I did like Pagliais, too. But what's up with Iowa City? It seems like every pizza place downtown is gone and has been turned into a bar. It's so different now!!

By the way, IMHO, the best toppings on pizza are onions, garlic, artichoke hearts, ricotta cheese and extra sauce. Yum.
