A message from the Supreme Executive Committee of Kappa Sigma

www.kappasigma.org/GettingItDone

"May we not rest contentedly until the Star and Crescent is the pride of every college and university in the land."

- Stephen Alonzo Jackson
1878 Grand Conclave
Baltimore, Maryland

With 21 days left in the 2003-05 biennium, the results are in and here is what the number one fraternity in the world has accomplished...

A record 5,989 men pledged this academic year thus far,
approaching the 6,000 level for the first time in history.

A record 11,298 men have pledged thus far,
representing a 36.2% growth rate.

A record 4,337 men have been initiated this academic year thus far, surpassing the 4,000 level for the first time in history.

A record 8,120 men have been initiated thus far, representing a 34.1% growth rate.

More men have been initiated this academic year than were pledged in any one of the past ten years.

Established a record 46 colonies, including many campuses with dormant chapters.

Installed a record 17 chapters, representing
new and dormant chapters.

Broke ground on the new, 26,000 square foot Kappa Sigma International Headquarters, which will be the finest in the fraternal world.

Raised nearly $5,000,000 through more than 550 donors, and half way to our goal of $10,000,000 for our new headquarters.

A record $549,695.72 donated to nonprofit organizations,
averaging $2,389.91 donated per chapter and colony.

A record 214,265 man hours donated to our communities,
averaging 931.59 hours per chapter and colony.

Recruited more than 900 Kappa Sigma volunteer alumni,
representing the largest volunteer team in our history and the fraternal world.

Kappa Sigma continues to have the lowest undergraduate
dues and costs in the fraternal world.

We are now the most preferred in the world. More men
choose Kappa Sigma than any other fraternity.

Most importantly, more quality men have been given the same gift each of us received, the gift of Kappa Sigma brotherhood.

GETTING IT DONE.

One Fraternity. One Team. One Kappa Sigma.

His one ambition was to make Kappa Sigma the leading college fraternity of the world, and to that end he thought and worked by day and night, until the end of his busy life."

Great news from the SEC. Not only are we the largest fraternity, we are also the best, with quality men to call brothers.

Semper to all my Brothers.

Just got an email on the AA listserve (I used to be a AAA) that the number of pledged men has reached 6000 for the first time ever. It looks like the stepped-up recruitment efforts have indeed resulted in larger numbers.

I thought SigEp was still the largest national GLO?

Anyone know the numbers for sure?

I believe that the release was referring to Kappa Sigma records, not all-fraternity records. I know there are threads on GC that address who is the biggest GLO, and that the term "biggest" has different meanings depending on what numbers you're referencing.
