Miami Triad Party Question
I was wondering if a lot of people still throw Miami Triad Parties(Sigma Chi, Beta Theta Pi and Phi Delta Theta). A college near us just got a phi delt chapter and some of us are talking about getting one set up. I hear they have gone off good at other colleges in the past and was wondering if you've had one what are some good shirt ideas.

We didnt have Phi Delt at our school so there we never had a Miami Triad Party. I know my Fraternity has a chapter at U of F. I'm not sure if Sigma Chi and Phi Delt are there. You could always ask around with your brothers and get feedback from other chapters. Maybe they could give you some t-shirt ideas. At least those that have Beta and Phi Delt Chapters. I've heard U. of I. have thrown some Miami Triad parties in the past.

We had all three at my school and never had a Miami Triad party. In fact the three were all pretty much next door to each other.

Nada. Same here, all three are in places. Never heard of Miami Triad thing.
Probably it is just a local tradition, like Yell-Like-Hell in Iowa State University or others.

When I was in high school the fraternities and sororities on my campus used to have Four-House parties where the AGDs and TKEs got together with a local fraternity and sorority. My friends and I used to go to them (yes, as high schoolers we kinda crashed the party) and from what I recall, we had a blast.
Now, with the alcohol policies that AGD and the NPC sororities have adopted, it's highly unlikely that we'll have Four-Houses any time soon. So far, we're the only GLO that has guidelines regarding alcohol (believe it or not!)...but we're very proud of it.

What exactly is "Yell-Like-Hell"? I've seen it talked about on websites & such at different midwestern schools.

Its not a local thing. Really, any school that has all three can throw the party. It just depends on whether they choose to or not.

Triad is an awesome party!!! Phi Delts were dry for a couple of years...I think...so they just alternated the parties between Sigma Chi and Beta Theta Pi. Good times

I'm a sophomore here at Miami University, and this is the first time I have heard of such a party.
