Angry Star and Buc Have Gone Too Far

Yesterday morning on Hot 97 in New York, on the Star and Buckwild show, Star reported on the tragic death of R&B superstar Aaliyah. While he read the details of the accident, the sound of an airplane falling, people screaming, and a loud crash could be heard playing in the background. Miss Jones got so upset that she left the station, and Q-Tip called in later in a distressed state after speaking to a distraught Jay-Z to express their displeasure with his mocking of the deaths of these nine people. This time they have allowed these Howard Stern wannabe's to go too far. These are the same people who called Jill Scott a bitch for cancelling an interview, coincidentally they also called Aaliyah this for cancelling an interview last week. Let Hot 97 know that you won't put up with their disrespect of Aaliyah, the other eight victims, their families, and the millions of fans who mourn the death of a truly special woman. Call 1-800-223-9797, log on to www.starandbucwild.com and www.hot97.com, flood them with calls and emails to let them know that they've crossed the line this time! RIP BABYGIRL

(I got this off of another messageboard and just thought I'd share)

I will definitely send some e-mails to Hot 97. I live in the area. I was on my way to work when I heard it. I got so angry that I turned from the station . He (Star) apologized this morning for his behavior. But, it doesn't really matter, because he should have known better.

Angry I'm Shocked!!!

I'm located in South Florida and not familiar with these DJs. So when I read the post stating that they were Howard Stern wannabes, I just assumed that they were white. Well, after visiting their site, I am very upset that they are members of the black race. I'm not gonna go any further with that.

Also, as a student in a School of Journalism, I understand how very difficult it is to preserve the credibility and respect of our field. They did nothing but help to tarnish the image of journalists and justify the constant complaints that the media has indeed gone too far.

May Aliyah and all victims Rest In Peace. God Bless their families.

sad...

...I signed the petition and am pleased to find that there are almost 10,000 signatures.
Aaliyah is resting well right now. Nonetheless, the memories of those lives lost will not be mocked by ignorance.
