Sigma Gamma Rho Greek Education Forum
Greetings Fraters and Sorors:
The women of the Zeta Omicron Sigma Alumnae chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Bolingbrook, IL will be hosting our first Greek Education Forum for high school students, and we would appreciate your assistance. We are asking a graduate and undergraduate member of each NPHC organization to participate on the panel for this event. The event will be held on Saturday May 26, 2001 @1pm, at Fountaindale Public Library, 300 W. Briarcliff Rd., in Bolingbrook, IL.
The focus of our Greek Education Forum is to educate high school students on the purpose and goals of greek-lettered organizations, as well as provide them with general membership requirements. We are targeting high schools students, particularly juniors and seniors because we understand that some students enter college with no prior knowledge or exposure to the real benefits of becoming a member of a fraternity/sorority, particularly NPHC organizations, and the work that we do in our communities. Because our organizations exist on most university campuses, we would like to offer these students a "preview" of what we are about. We are encouraging the parents of students to attend so that they too may gain this knowledge.
You may bring any organizational literature you deem appropriate. This may include high school affiliate group, scholarship and service project information.
If a representative from your chapter, or your affiliate undergraduate chapter is interested in participating in this event, please return a completed copy of the attached form – one per graduate and undergraduat representative, by May 11, 2001 to the chapter address above.
