Charlotte, NC
We will be in Charlotte for an upcoming weekend - can anyone suggest decent places to go out at night that allow someone under 21. My FI's younger brother will be with us.
Plus any good shopping places near the Bank of America Stadium?

I'm not sure how far out of Charlotte you want to come, but there's a great coffee house that has family-friendly Karaoke every Saturday night. It's probably 30 min out of uptown. PM me if you're interested, and I'll let you know where it is.

I am not the best person to ask as I live about a half hour south of the city and don't really go up there, but I have not found any good shopping outside of the South Park Mall, which is within driving distance but not super close.
As for going out at night, I'd love to know myself. Everyone says Charlotte is awesome, but I seem to be missing out on all the fun!

Oh yeah, I forgot about the shopping question....I can't even think of anything that's not an exec office/hotel/bar/restaurant/Walgreens in uptown - except maybe over by Blumenthal.
If you want to experience *REAL* Charlotte close to BofA Stadium, you have to go to Price's Chicken Coop. http://www.priceschickencoop.com/ That's a Charlotte Landmark.

Thanks for the suggestions - I actually heard to go to South Park. I am not sure how far out we want to go though. I know they just got a new light rail so maybe it has a connection out there.

Nope. The lightrail doesn't go much of anywhere right now.
