Brief excerpts from longer article:
At 8 years old, Molly Powers Orahood had slipped into a coma after surviving a deadly airplane crash. She eventually woke up -- to having no parents.
Last year, at 19, Orahood again fell into a coma after she struck a slow-moving car and spun into a semi-tractor trailer's path on the highway. The man driving the car was drunk.
Again, she woke up -- this time to memory loss and a landslide of medical bills.
The only ray of light: her family of 107 sisters from the Florida International University chapter of the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority that were determined to help.
. . . The Delta Phi women along with the men of Pi Kappa Alpha have gone a step further in establishing a nonprofit organization called the Keep S.O.B.E.R. Fund to aid Orahood and someday other drunken driving victims, too. . . .
