Sigma Chi Toolbag Here...

I'm a legacy and I was born June 28th, 1988. Sigma Chi was a life goal for me, something I always knew I would strive to achieve. My Dad told me all of the stories when I was kid, which kind of lead me to become a big tool about this Fraternity. What can I say, other than it's my first love and shall be my last.

Well anyways, I'm the current Magister at a chapter in it's infancy. We've set the standard for the somewhat sub-par greek system on campus. Highest GPA, most members, philanthropy, etc. I was looking to start some traditions this semester, my program isn't completely filled as of yet. I was thinking of giving each pledge class a nickname, this class is Theta. I'm really trying to avoid the whole idea of "pledge-class unity" that can lead to hazing as well as tear a chapter apart through division. Any ideas on names or thoughts on whether or not this is a good idea? I've brought it up to a few brothers in my chapter with no real opposition, it is my class so I don't think anyone will tell me no if I want it. I'm ultimately waiting until I bring it before the chapter as a whole for a decision, but any ideas for names or anything for that matter would be appreciated.

In Hoc,
