at
that hour?
You didn't quite know what those two grumpy old men in the Muppets were
saying until the show was taken off air.
When bubble skirts and ra-ra skirts were all the rave!
When Kylie and Danni said 'goodnight Australia' on a weekly basis and
later
when you were embarrassed to say that you liked Dannii.

Oh my gosh, that list is scary! I can relate to damn near everything on there! I'm sooo old! LOL! And etienneSAI, why do you and I not know the "something" parts to Ducktales!? LOL! That's so funny!
I love being an 80s kid! Oh that reminds me, anyone remember singing the Toys R Us commericals?
I don't wanna grow up
I'm a Toys R Us kid
There's a million toys at Toys R Us
that I can play with
From bikes to planes to video games
it's the greatest toy store there is!
I don't wanna group up, cuz if I did
I wouldn't be a Toys R Us kid!

Sorry, I had to get that outta my system. I feel better now.

Cool

Okay, so I dug up the .wav of the Ducktales theme and found the *something* lyrics

its
"racecars, LASERS, aeroplanes..."
"tales of daring, do-bad and good-luck tales"

What about 80s Nickelodeon? I used to watch it all day, every day.

"Pinwheel pinwheel, spinning around, look in my pinwheel and see what I found."

I would give anything to have just one tape of that show, its one of those things that defines my childhood.

I'd have to say that the 80s were my favorite decade. I remember crying on New Year's Eve 1989, because I was scared of what would happen in the 1990s. For a 9 year old, I was pretty astute and didn't even know it...

What's even creepier for me is that I have a (very) vague memory of the late 70's, ahhh...

Of course!!

Now... this is a story all about how
my life got flipped, turned upside down,
and I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air

In... West Philidelphia born and raised
on the playground is where I spent most of my days,
chillin' out, maxin', relaxin', all cool
and all shooting some b-ball outside the school

When a couple of guys said "we're up to no good"
started making trouble in my neighborhood,
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
she said "you're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air"

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
the license plate said "fresh" and had dice in the mirror,
if anything I could say this cab was rare
but I though now forget it, yo home to Bel-Air

I pulled up to a house about seven or eight
and I yelled to the cabby "yo home, smell ya later,"
I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there
to settle my throne as the prince of Bel-Air
