I just saw this in the DST Forum. Pure craziness.
I remember when my line crossed, one of my sands said two gentlemen approached her on-campus, one claiming to be a MiAKA the other claiming to be a Delta Gent both were asking for their 'Sorors'.
We, uhm... kindly told them that such 'orgs' were not respected or welcomed on our campus.
I don't understand the whole sweetheart deal anyway, outside of dating/marrying a member of an org. Are any of the sweetheart orgs nationally established and/or approved by any of the Divine Nine?

Only Iota Sweethearts are nationally recognized.
This whole Delta Gents/MiAKA is a trip!! I should ask my sister if she's seen any MiAKAs.

If you are not a Soror , then if I were you, I would strongly reconsider such a screenname. Also, MIAKAs are nothing new to the scene but thanks for the post. It seems that you have posted before on GC, so you should know how the protocol goes on AKA Avenue.

Why are those masks so nice? But why am I laughing every time I look at those pics? And not just a giggle, but my "evil sorority cackle". LMAO
There's got to be something better.

There's a thread in this forum for all introductions. Check the top of list.
About these MIAKAs:
Someone emailed me these pics yesterday and I just started laughing. I'm sorry but they look silly!
It's not like they're going to be mistaken for AKAs (well, maybe that one in drag... ). Plus, I didn't see any of our symbols on them. They need to just start their own frat and stop pretending to be something they'll never be and will never fully understand (so many levels, so little time). There's so many other insignificant spin-off orgs that have already done the same, they'll fit right in.

LOL...the one in drag.
This pics are funny. MIAKA is nothing new. The mask had me rolling. I mean they took their time to make those.

But is that your shield in one of the pics? See that would take me over the edge.

If it is in there, then of course my feelings would be different.

Oh, I see it now. It's the second to the last picture in case anyone else missed it. It's in the bottom corner in the shadows and part of it is obscured.
Even though I don't consider the situation as light-heartedly as I previously mentioned, I still think they are doing more harm to themselves than to the sorority. Of course, the sorors in that area need to do something about that mess to keep it from continuing. I'm not going to lose sleep over it, though.
Actually, I'm more offended by the h.s. perp over in myspace. Her friend dimed on her in another thread: http://greekchat.com/gcforums/showthread.php?t=84677
