Open House (Post those pics!)

Hey guys, thought it would make a good thread if we all held an open house for our chapter houses!

So get out those cameras and take a picture of your chapter house, both past and present, or scan them in if you must.

Try to include older photos, historical photos and recent photos.

I'll start. She needs a good cleaning and a new roof, but all in all she's in good condition. Being a cloudy day and in the middle of winter, she may not look like much, but when spring rolls around, I'll take some pictures that will knock your socks off.

That's right, our very FIRST chapter house, Gamma Zeta! (currently occupied by ZBT )

Well, I found another pick that shows what a beautiful house it is/was. This is a pic from a few years ago and is more accurate as to how I remember the house looking.

Thanks Mooch. You guys will get that house someday. But ironically, I always felt that our brotherhood was strongest after we moved out of the house.

The greatest thing about the house was it was just that, a house. It always had that feeling of home that we just couldn't get in the dorms, apartments or dorm style housing.

Brothers,

There are a ton of pictures on our web site. Why reinvent the wheel? Here's a link.

We're very proud of this house. It's the only one of it's kind at Shippensburg U. It used to be the Acacia house, but their alumni got fed up and sold it to us.

lambdachizeta.org.

Just shows the Rendering of the House though.

Shipps House is outstanding and lenoxx and Ottor had a lot to do with it.

Tom,

You're very kind. Honestly, though, for everything he has done, it shoud be called the Phi-Tau Zeta Jason Lenox Chapter House.

While Acacia still had a fairly good functioning chpater there, Lenox had the balls to call thier alumni and ask them if they were interested in selling the house.

It took a few years, but in the end that call paid off and the end result is that we've got the house, and Acacia is renting a much less impressive house on the other side of town.

I help out where I can, but my help is mostly in the form of carpentry work such as building a closet and fixing various broken doors and stuff. Also, the gold leaf VIR QUISQUE VIR over the front door was one of my touches, and it looks even better than I imagined it.

Ottor,
I really like the Vir Quisque Vir, in fact all of the Lambd Chi memorabilia and touches look great. What did the chapter do with the house that was build in 00-01? Are you renting it out or did you sell it to help fund the purchase of the new house?
