Red face Politics

How do you think the black vote will effect this up and coming election? Do you think that we will take a stand and make a change or just sit back and complain?

Hey Japera1920 (how are ya?)--

Take a stand for what? Something specific, or anything? At this point, there's so much polarization, I don't know if there would be much agreement on what the "stand" actually would be.

But people are always, always, willing to make their comments from the peanut gallery, whether participatory or not!

I just hope all who have the right to vote do so. It takes one hour max. to read the voter education booklet and determine your vote. Voting is a right, but if you don't use it, someone else is making the decision for you. And, we all (women and American of African descent notably) did not always have this "right".

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

As usual we will turn out in record (low) numbers. I don't know why our people are so apathetic about the political process. My exboyfriend and I would argue every time any kind of election came up. He would always get started with how voting is a waste of time and politicans are going to do what they want no matter what the people want. Then I would get mad and go off on him for being stupid. Then I also have coworkers who don't want to register because they don't want to be called for jury duty. Don't even get me started on us and voting. I could go on and on and on.
