Door Prizes

I need assistance.

Can you all think of ways to raffle door prizes?

You can (off the top of my head):
1. Randomly draw names from a box;
2. Issue tickets;
3. Place a colored sticker on an agenda;
4. Place something under seats;

Is there any other way I can randomly issue door prizes?

Thanks in advance!

How many people are at the meeting/function?

If there aren't a lot, you can do something like picking a number and seeing who has that amount in their wallet, or something along those lines.

Along those same lines, the last 2 numbers on any piece of money they have with them at the event.

Person born in certain month (said this because it is a smaller gathering)

I figured it out!

Sunday we will be having our first chapter meeting since May (not Sept. ). I decided to buy AKA merchandise to raffle. 99 percent of the sorors lost EVERYTHING as a result of the levee breaches, including para. Since I was more fortunate, I thought this was the least I could do, besides host the executive committee meeting at my mother's to get us "up and running" as much as we possibly can under the circumstances.

Anyway, I decided to do something like this (so the majority of the members can have more of an opportunity to win):

Categories:
All Charter members will vie for prize #1;
Our 50 year member, who will be present (she buried her husband last Friday) will receive a prize by default, as well as our President...
UG initiates will vie; Grad initiates will vie; Transferring into our chapter in 2005 will vie; so on and so forth...

Thanks for those ideas. It really got my mental wheel turning.

Naaaaaaaaaa. We'll pass, Tony! Thanks for offering!

Unspoken1, you don't have to be like me. Remember, "we help each other..." and everything you learned prior to learning that line (crossing fingers) at home and at church.

Also, I don't have that signature below just to take up space...

But, *how* will each group vie for a gift? Are you going to use raffle tickets? Stickies on the agenda? Chair? Although you have broken it down by group, there are still members in each group.

I only ask because the more random the opportunity to get a gift, the less hurt feelings the person will have if they do not get a gift. My advice, use tickets (the kind with the six digit number on each side and tear it in half) throw them in a box and let your 50 year member draw.
