UPI News Service, 03/28/2005
The experts of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" have made over what they described as their greatest challenge yet -- a University of North Texas frat house.
The episode, which premieres Tuesday night on the cable channel, culminates in a pledge party at the revamped house.

The makeover guys, known as the Fab Five, arrived in August to help Cameron Allahverdi, 20. Together, they shopped for clothes, cooked with a chef at The Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas and worked out with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders at Texas Stadium in Irving.
Several fraternity members get attention in the segment. The episode ends with a house pledge party featuring Shout by Otis Day of Animal House fame.
Chapter President Brad Blanchard, 20, is a little worried about how the fraternity and his 2-year-old house will be portrayed. "We wanted to show what a fraternity could be like. We are a bunch of good guys," he said. The show's advance publicity calls the brothers' "before" living conditions squalid, with kitchen floors and counters covered with junk, and bedroom minifridges contaminated with bugs, spoiled milk and rancid meat. "The hallways are dotted with 'mystery holes' that just 'happen' after parties. The communal bathroom is ... well, be afraid. Be very afraid," according to the show.
