Dr. Phil Romance show

Ok - I totally missed this show tonight, and only wanted to watch it to see what Dr. Phil had to say to Jonathon and Victoria from the Amazing Race. Anyone see it? What did he say about that crazy relationship?

Considering all the hype around Jonathan and Victoria, the segment was the shortest of the evening. Dr. Phil asked them about their relationship, discussed how America viewed the couple and let them talk. They were all lovey dovey and she made a big point of saying several times that they were on the show to show off their softer side. Jonathan said that most of everything was the editing taken out of context. I personally felt like it was just a hype to build up their own careers, and that she was saying what ever she was coached to say before the show.

I didn't see the show at all, but another thing to remember is that "reality TV" isn't really reality.

A friend of a friend was on one of the shows, and claims she was heavily coached on how to act.

Hey, without a lot of drama, these things would be boring documentaries.

I saw it last night...I was not impressed with Jonathan. He seemed rehearsed and pre-defined in his responses to Dr. Phil's questions...Additionally, Victoria on one hand was pushing the "softer side" but she also made a lot of statements that told me Jonathan was portraying more of his true side on Amazing Race than they wanted to let on...

On a different note, I actually went to a Dr. Phil taping today!! Live in the studio audience!! It was a fun experience...opened my eyes very much to how the production works.
