Panhellenic Revealing on Bid Day

My school has done the same rho gamma revealing for the past two years...we have a huge bid day party with food and a dj. During the event, the rho gammas are wearing like 4 shirts...one is the recruitment panhellenic shirt, and the other three are greek letter shirts. the first is not their sorority, neither is the second, the last is. it's kinda like strip show...and like say a girl is a phi sig, so she might have on a xi d then run to the a xi d girls, but the greek advisor says "that doesnt look right" and the girls come back to the stage. then they do it again, and this time she might be wearing theta phi letters, then again it is said thats not right, lastly is the greek letters of phi sig and the sisters run back and then the greek advisor goes, "much better!" or something to that effect. That's SO old and overplayed by us, we need a new way to reveal the recruitment councilors...any ideas? what do you do at your school? Thanks! Good luck with recruitment.

Why don't you all have huge cakes that the Rho Gammas come out of in bikinis in their org's colors?

I didn't go through a system that had this, so this is just an idea that popped in to my head, and it may not be right. Seems the revealings are always big to-dos.

Why not make it quiet? Have just a vase of flowers - with the flower of each sorority - and have each girl mull over which flower to take, then select one and take it to her chapter?

I guess you could jazz it up with huge, paper flowers, and music, etc.

FWIW, the time between posts #1 and #2 is about 4 years, and the OP hasn't logged on for over a year.

Still, just in case people are searching for Panhellenic revealing:

The reason for it not being "quiet" is usually because it's in a room full of rho chis, sorority members and PNMs - 1000+ girls at some places. Anything too subtle is going to get lost in the shuffle and have everyone saying "wait, I missed it, where is Chelsea a sister at again?" So it's pretty much a situation that calls for big and obnoxious.

okay, so we have this thing called 'rush the hill.' all the sororities are out on the front lawn of the school (which happens to be on a slight hill). the gamma chis (this is what we call our panhellinic reps) and the new members all change into their sororities' bid day shirts inside of our student center seperately. when the head of greek life gets onto the mic system, he calls the gamma chis to run outside to their sororities. they are then reunited with their sisters. the new members are then called out to rush their sororities, and all actives, new members, and gamma chis are reunited/united as a whole chapter. its cool, because you dont know how many new members you will have until they run up that hill to you. and the new members dont know who their gamma chis are until they rush their sororities, and meet them as their sisters.
