Hilgard

From what I've been told by old alums, Hilgard was a very strong chapter, strongest on the West Coast (In addition to being the oldest).

Are there plans to ever go back to Cal?

Hilgard was strong in some ways, but it was hazing that led to their demise. The university laid down strict sanctions, which the undergraduates didn't want to adhere to, so they were shut down.

The alumni were very upset with the undergraduates and their house is now used for women's housing. Perhaps enough time has passed and a new effort can be made. While the brothers from my chapter never got along particularly well with Berkeley, I still wish we had a chapter there.

Hilgard has produced many notable alums and the campus has a surprisingly large and successful Greek system. If the alumni and university are willing to make the effort, I'm sure National would love to be back on campus.
