Black and White Formal?

Hey girls!! I think our chapter is going to do a Black and White formal! They don't know this yet but since I am social chair and I REALLY like the idea I think we should do it.

Here is my question: Do you think the whole black and white theme is too formal to be considered a semi formal?

Anyone who has done it before: Did the girls complain about having to wear black and white?

Thanks everyone!!!

Emily

We did red and white.. it wasn't *too* bad... finding dresses were difficult (since red wasn't a big color this past spring).. but I black and white isn't bad. I think it's cute!

You can also do a black and white social or date function, where girls just wear black and white "going out" clothes. I had a blast when our chapter had that theme for a date function. We also had our photography company take all our pics in black and white. I think that since these orgs are online now that is always an option. It may be too much pressure to have all the girls wear a certain color formal dress (I know liked to reuse dresses from pageants and high school).
