Post breast cancer

I recently lost someone due to breast cancer I was wondering if any of you have experienced this or may be living with it. What is your situation?

One of my sorority sisters, an older lady who I have admired for years, has breast cancer. I do not know all of the details, because I don't like to pry, but I believe she has received treatment for the cancer. At any rate, she is doing extremely well. She is the president of one of our alumnae chapters and is an extremely active lady. She is one of the bravest women I know and I am so proud that she is a Delta Zeta!

My maternal grandmother is also a breast cancer survivor and is doing beautifully. She has been in remission for several years and, Lord willing, will not have any more problems with the disease. She too is a very vital lady who did not allow the cancer to steal her spirit! What a role model she has been for me!

I don't personally know anyone living with breast cancer but I just wanted to offer my sympathy and condolences.
