TV Dads
Since today is Father's Day, let's ask this question. Who is your favourite TV Dad? Which TV Dad does/did your own dad resemble (not necessarily physically)? I heard on the radio this morning that Pa Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie received top honours over here while Homer Simpson was fifth (d'oh!).

I like Dr. Huxtable. I also like Michael Gross from "Family Ties."

I like Cliff Huxtable too. I think he exemplifies the ideal Dad, as does Jason Seaver. Both great examples of work-at-home dads. Cliff was like number 3 or 4 or something like that. I think the poll asked which dad your own dad is most like. I guess Cliff was just too ideal! Still think Homer should have had a higher ranking, but I guess most people with Homer-like dads are too embarassed to say so!

<--------- Watches WAY too much TV Land!!
I'm going to say Andy Taylor on The Andy Griffith Show. He reasoned with Opie, set good ground rules, let him make his own mistakes, yet showed how much he loved him on each show.
Maybe it's like my own daddy, though.

Cliff Huxtable
Mike Brady
Tony Micelli
Charles Finster (from the Rugrats)
I think I'd have to check myself into an institution if I had a father like Jason Seaver or Reverend Camden (7th Heaven).
