A lot of times I listen to Britney Spears when I work out and remember what a perfect body she has for motivation.
The songs that are good for workouts are:
What it's Like to be Me
Overprotected
Slave For You
Stronger
Toxic (of course)
Lonely

There are some other upbeat ones that I can't think of...but those are good.

If you don't like Britney...

My roommate listens to Metallica & Marilyn Mansonwhen she works out...sometimes I do as well. You know the whole idea of lsitening to something angry...? Hip-hop songs are effective too. I burn a different workout CD ever other week so...

Missy Elliot and Timbaland have awesome beats to work out to and some older rap (like early Jay-Z) is good too

Outkast
aaliyah

anything to keep me moving really but a good idea would be to put fast songs like- 2 in a row- and then a slower song and then 2 fast songs etc- thats always good to vary routine and you get a little break to breathe- etc

good luck!!!

if you like dance music get a techno/dance cd. i had one and liked listening to that more than a regular r&b cd because it was all fast tempos, unlike the r&b cds where they go into slow songs.

i know people that liste to rock songs also cause it's aggresive. so i see how it can work with doing weights.

I listen to a lot of trance while working out. The gym plays a top 40 station and I can't work out to songs like "My Immortal." So I listen to CDs I have burned. My favs: The Hackers 1 and 2 soundtracks, Paul Van Dyk, and Paul Oakenfold mixes.
