Don't think I've ever met a Beta I didn't like. Congratulations.
Miami, on the other hand -- hey I'm from Ohio University...

Close to Natl.?
This chapter used to share its house (or was attached to) the Beta Natl. Office. Is that still the case?

It was an interesting scenario. Our Headquarters was located on the same lot as our current house now, but they are/were separate buildings. In the early ninties, we raised approximately $5,000,000 for our new Administrative Office, located a mile or so off campus, on about 8 acres of land - truly a sight for sore eyes. Anyway, the chapter now occupies both buildings on their lot, one is the main house and the smaller (old Admin. Office) is now living quarters.
House on left and center (and old Admin. Office on right):
Current Admin. Office (not the greatest picture):

the headquarters building is great, although we got lost trying to find it one time! and i think the Beta house has one of the best locations on campus.

best....possibly
there are a hellacious number of top Beta chapters. And while
I think the Miami chapter has profited a lot by being the Alpha
chapter and having HQ there...I really think NIC has their head
up their ass...as usual.
Congrats, Alpha, but believe me, there are a helleva lot of good
Beta chapters who'd give you a run....
This is meant as a compliment for Beta Theta Pi and a slam to the
dippy NIC gnerds.
At any rate, enjoy your honor and know that there are a goodly
number who are inches away...from unseating you!
Wish we all had that to be concerned with....LOL

Re: best....possibly
Erik, thanks for the great words. I agree, Alpha is a top dog nationally, but Beta chapters such as Oklahoma, OK State, our Kansas Chapters, Knox, Nebraska...etc., are all great chapters and forces to be reckoned with.
