Anyone here a makeup artist?

What kind of training did you receive? Where do you work? Do you enjoy it?

I got my Level 1 certificate in makeup artistry but never really attempted to find a job in the field, it was more something that interested me. i did a course for a few weeks and thought abt makeup school but then decided that maybe i shouldn't turn it into a job.

I know a lady that claims to make 300-600 a day when she does make-up for commercials and such . .

Standard day rate for a freelance make-up artist was at least $350 when I was still running a studio department here in Denver. That has been at least 3-4 years ago. Don't know whether it has increased or not.

Of course I don't know how much they work in any given week.

Where did you take that course?

I know George Brown has one. That I don't have the money for right now, but it's definitly something that interestes me.
