Question SATC dvd sets

Do any of y'all know if "Sex and the City - The Complete First Four Seasons" is in the usual plastic cases? I am looking at the picture and it looks like either each case has a cardboard sleeve -OR- each has the original plastic design, but instead the case is of cardboard. Here is a picture:

It's definitely plastic - and it SUCKS!! The front cover on 2 of my seasons has broken off. I hate their cheap plastic cases!

Yeah, I have season 5, bought it alone. It is plastic. I am wanting to buy 1-4 and buying the set will save me a few bucks, so I'm just curious if the sets are also the plastic.

I think mu_agd is speaking of when she bought the set. Yes? I am so picky and I want 1-4 to match season 5. LOL

I hate it that season 5 is by far the shortest season and they're charging the same amount for it.

that is correct, i bought "the complete first four seasons" set of SATC over the summer through amazon. i then bought season five right when it came out seperately. and unfortunately, all in the same packaging! i'm so nervous everytime i go to watch one that the case is going to fall apart!

Thanks! I am going to be buying from Amazon as well, so that's reassuring.

Yes, I haven't had the fifth season for more than two weeks and I'm already worried about the cover. I've considered putting the DVD's in those plastic CD cases that you can buy separately at Best Buy, but what's the fun in that? I'm sure they'll come out with a 10th anniversary set or something, and hopefully it will have better packaging. Maybe they do it knowingly so that those of us who are picky will buy another season, just so that the cover is attached. Just a thought.

Agreed! I got it at Wal-mart for around 35 bucks, which I thought was cheap. But then I saw that it was only eight episodes.

Very true, but they knew the viewers would still purchase it.

i got mine at best buy for 33. i was pretty much going to pay whatever they charged for it.. didn't want to miss out on owning a season b/c of price. hopefully they won't increase the price too much on season 6 though for the extra episodes.
