Post WEDDING ETIQUETTE #3

YES, YES, YES........ANOTHER ONE.

I was wondering if anyone have experienced when you tell people whom you are close to you your getting married, they are rather melancholy about it.
This is the case one of my bridesmaids and I am both experiencing. We are both getting married and we have noticed that those that are rather "phony/fake" (is that a word?)are the ones that are not in a healthy relationship or not in one at all. And of course everyone has his or her opinions. Some think we are too young (23, 24 respectively), and some just don't have anything good to say. We have decided that we are not going to let anyone rain on our parade. She has it worse because her people are a bit envious of her anyhow. But our own maid-of-honor's has the same attitude. They both have been in long-term relationship since high school that has gone absolutely no where. But she and I have moved 3,000 miles from LA to DC (seperately) and have been very successful. What advice do you guys have about how we should handle a situation like this? Of course we want our weddings to be drama free, but how do we gain the support that we are looking for. It is important that everyone in my circle (Wed. party) happy for me, or rather I want them to all be happy for me...
