TAX FREE WEEKEND....the SCAM you ALL fell for!!!

Seriously, any other retail peeps out there work in a state that has the enormous foresight to hold a Tax-Free weekend right before Back to School?

Seriously y'all, i don't know about your states, but the tax rate in Texas is around 8%. So that means, AND SAY IT WITH ME FOLKS, you only save $8 for every $100 you spend. TO ME, it's not going to be worthwhile unless you drop over 5 or 6 benjamins, yet you have every cletus, billy bob, patty sue and all the other people who get a raging hard-on at the thought of saving a measly $8 dollars tearing through old navy like bill clinton at a prospective intern informational.

Not to mention that people seem to feel personally insulted that we might have sold out of a size they need(fathom that) or the fact that the table of polo shirts now resembles the dirty clothes corner of my bedroom and they can't find anything.

GRRRRRR. And another thing, do you people get some kind of sick enjoyment out of following behind a sales associate as they fold an entire booth of denim, then systematically take out every 3rd pair of jeans, hold them up to the light as if you're examining some inoperable tumor on a CAT scan, then wadding them up and stuffing them back in the booth at a spot of your random choosing? All the while ignoring our continuous offers to help you find the size you require?

Another fun game is the hide and seek people like to play with merchandise. As fun as it is for y'all to take a pair of baby cargos and stash them behind a jet rail of sweatshirts, we really don't share the same enthusiasm as you do.

OH, and on a side note, to the cop that pulled me over at 3am, while i'm wearing my Old Navy staff shirt on TAX FREE WEEKEND for "Following to close"(spelling as appears on the warning i receieved) the reason i was on that guy's back bumper is because he was driving 10 mph UNDER the speed limit and weaving more than a Delta pilot on his way from the bar to the cockpit. Hmm, lets see, 3am, Saturday night....you think he may have been a bit intoxicated? mmmm? Probably more of a danger than a frustrated retail worker just trying to get home and to bed.
