Help! Desperatly seeking a job.

Hi everyone,

So here's my story. I'm currently taking the semester off school because of finacial and personal problems. Mostly financial (I didn't have enough money for tuition). So I cam home in december and was desperatly looking for a job. I applied everywhere, and had several interviews. I went to several employment agencies. Finally an employment agency found me some temp work. It was a good job, nothing I would want to have as a career but it would have let me earn enough money to go back to school. Unfortunately, last week the company ended my assignment. They said that they were slowing down, and that there wasn't enough work for me to do. Fine, I can accept that, but now I have to look for another job.
Hopefully this agency will help in locating another assignment, but are there any other ways to go about looking for work.
So basically, I'm asking my fellow greeks for advice on job hunting, and possibly if any of my fellow greeks from the Toronto area know of any job openings that would be great.
I could really use the help.

Thanks so much!!!!!

Ph Phi Love and Mine,

Emily

I feel your pain. Work is hard to come by these days no matter how well qualified you are.

Network with everyone you know. Pi Phi undoubtedly has some resources you can tap into, and you may be able to use your school's career office too, even if you're taking a semester off. You may want to contact some headhunters, too - just make it clear that you're looking for contract work, rather than a permanent job, because you're planning to go back to school next semester.

Best of luck.
