Post Much respect for this

Just something I thought I'd share...
Last spring I went to the Northeatern Panhellenic/IFC Conference in Cherry Hill, NJ. One of our speakers said something that I've kept in my head since then, as VP Risk Management of my chapter. He was relating a story from when his fraternity's National Board was meeting and discussing the possibility of going alcohol free (I'm sorry, I have drawn a blank on the fraternity name). Anyways, during the meeting, one alum stood up and said something along the lines of, "What are we talking about... we all joined for chicks and beer anyways, that's what it's all about." Their National president turned to the gentleman on his right (the speaker at the conference)and asked how long it would take him to travel to every college chapter and pack up all the ritual materials and burn them. The speaker asked why, and their president said...

"Because if what this brother says is true, if that is all we stand for, then we don't stand for anything."

I thought that was well-put.
