I am truly sorry to crowd your board with another thread, but I didn't know in which existing thread this was appropriate to post.
Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha-
I met my first AKA tonight. I was blown away with her poise, vivacity and radiance. She was an alumnae from Jackson, Mississippi who just attended her 50th college reunion. I sat and spoke with her for over 3 hours. She told me of her line and how they hung out with all the Delts. She proudly told me of the selectivity and class of her chapter and about the "rivalry" (all in good taste though

) with the DST's on campus. Just seeing her face light up recalling all of her wonderful AKA memories was inspiring. She had strong family values and moral convictions. She was filled with wisdom and happiness. Even though she lived in the deep south amidst the clan, against all adversity, she excelled and made it to USC to receive her doctorate. She also raised 4 beautiful and successful children. What an inspirational member of the greek community and human race. Congratulations, ladies on an amazing institution of sisterhood, producing generations of strong women.
