Smile My "Bluetiful" Blessings!

Let's take the tension from the forum!

Folks, I have some beautiful stories to tell ya! I have been really blessed these past few weeks.

I usually have nalia on like my key chain, etc. but I never wear a T shirt to work but since it was the last week of school and I was cleaning my classroom I wore a shirt. Another teacher saw me with the shirt in the office and I found out that she is a Soror! That particular day I was upset about something, everything was going wrong (just one of them days!) I found out that I couldn't get funding for a course that I needed that was being offered on the premises and it was to start that day. OK, I'm getting to the point. When I found this out on top of everything else that was going on I was crying uncontrollably. This Soror got the other teachers in the class together to loan me the money! They don't even know me! I have barely seen this Soror this year because she teaches 1st grade downstairs and I teach 6th grade upstairs. Just from her being a Soror and a concerned colleague I started the class that day!

I'll come back with more later.

What a blessing!!

Madame moderator, it is wonderful to see how much love sorors show to each other. I just hope us young sorors learn and follow suit. I imagine it was an easy decision for your colleagues to come through-it serves as a testimony to what kind of person you are. God bless you even more, Soror.

Thumbs up WOW!

Soror, I am really happy for you, and I praise God for the blessings He gave you. You found a soror and funding all in the same day??? It sounds like the favor of God is on you!

Sorors and friends, thank you for your kind words. I have been so blessed and I can honestly say that I have everything I need. I was in such shock I don't think I thanked them properly. In addition to this all, this Soror took the checks over to the college that was offering the course. I didn't even need to go out of my way!

Come on everybody this is a positive thread! Post your blessings!
If this was something negative, nasty, and insulting it would be 3-4 pages long by now.

You think we can get 2 pages?

Talking Re: Two pages long!!

Just thought I should drop a note and say that it is a great feeling when women are exercising sisterhood amoung themselves. And maybe that is why, among many other reasons why, my eyes are in search for Sigma Gamma Rho!!

Cool Out of retirement... Hee hee.

Its a really worthy cause.

There have been so many times over the years that seeing a soror or hearing from one was just the boost I needed when I was feeling down. Over the eight years that I have been a soror, there have been thank you letters, invitations to events, birthday gifts, christmas gifts, and things as simple as a hug, a smile, and some understanding. Virtually all of the sorors I have met have exuded love and joy. Sorors have helped me in all kinds of ways, expecting nothing in return, and it is an honor and a blessing to do the same for any of my sorors who need me.

It has also been a blessing to help the less fortunate in my community on behalf of Sigma Gamma Rho. Although I may be a little gruff on occasions, I love all of my Sorors.

Soror Bluereign, thanks for starting this thread!!! I was really uplifted by your story.

TRSimon

Sorhor blueReign,

That was a wonderful story and I'm glad that you shared it with us! That's just another reason why I love my Sorhors.

Sorhor TRSimons,

I'm totally feeling you about all of the wonderful things that have happened to me since I became a Sigma (19 wonderful years ago) and yes, I'm still young because I'm 38 years old and I take care of myself. I have received a lot of free gifts (nalia) jobs (especially during my years in college), great advice, rides, I was able to stay in hotel rooms for free at regional conferences and at sorhors homes and the list goes on and on!

Yet, at the sametime I always have felt good about doing numerous community service projects in the name of Sigma and providing assistance to someone in the greater community. Folks, that is what sisterhood is all about.

LOL!!!! Okay here's mine. I am thankful for surviving my first year of nursing school it was rough but I made it. I am also blessed that I had an understanding supervisor who let me make up my own hours and study at work once I made sure my patients were okay with nothing major going on with them. I am thankful for the wonderful support system I have in my life. It really makes a difference when you feel like you just wanna give up and you have people that keep encouraging you to go on! I am thankful for all of my bluetiful sorors that I have met online. I feel like I have known you guys a lifetime!
Soror BlueReign I am glad to hear that you recieved such a wonderful blessing! Isn't God good! Keep us posted on how things are going.
