Anyone believe in tarot reading?
Been tried out several times with different tarot readers. They seemed like telling me the truths. Wanna know if anyone has ever tried it our...care to share with me your experience?

I've been reading the Tarot for years for my friends and family and I really enjoy it. I must say that my accuracy is pretty impressive! I am not Madame Cleo, however! lol

Ok, someome mentioned Madame Cleo, and I just had to say this.. I once almost worked as a phone psychic for the same company as her... It's 60% listening, 30% counseling, and 10% luck.

I don't believe in that stuff. My friend went to a psychic for a $10 reading who told her that she had problems with her aura. the psychic said that she would "cleanse her aura" for about $100. I told her that if she did it, she would soon have financial problems.

I'm mixed about this-I have a friend who does it and her readings are always pretty true. However, I once went to a Bar Mitzvah a few months ago, and the family had hired a tarot/ rune/palm reader to do readings for whomever wanted one. I got one done, and it was so out there. She told me that my boyfriend had commitment problems and I needed to break up with him-but then she told me that all men are evil, and she always gets screwed over by men...so

There is a festival in Texas every year called the Renaissance festival-I go frequently and usually have a tarot or palm reading-complete bullsh** but I always am entertained. One of the technicians that worked in my clinic read tarot cards-she was very good. Told me I would not get married for 5 years-so far she is rt.

I went to one with a Girl Friend once . . . When the Girl Friend asked about us as a couple, the Psychic said I was good for her.
When I asked about us as a couple, the psychic said the relationship would last as long as I wanted it to.
Needless to say that didn't go over too well when we compared notes later. LOL

I had a tarot reading once. What the woman told me was something anyone could have told me. "You are having problems at work.....You are stressing out right now.....You are having problems with your boyfriend....Something big is coming your way" I do not believe in it. I think it is just a form of entertainment. Not that it is entertaining when they tell you stuff you already knew and you have to pay $20!

I do believe in all things labeld "psychic". It's just that so many frauds enter the field. When you consider how animals communicate (especally dolphins) and how we humans originally communicated I feel it's very "real". The only question I have is-what psychic ability is really being used...is someone reading the cards or are they actually clairvoyant?
My son and I had a connecton when he was little...they say you lose your openness as you get older and your conscious mind tells you to reject it (plus...it isn't necessary for survival any more)
Add to that, my daughter had three car wrecks that a palmist "foresaw" all three, how COULD I just blow it off as nothing...
When I was little, I had SOMETHING that kept me out of danger-I woud hear my name being called so softly, like a whisper. Sure enough, there would be a snake or something dangerous in the vicinity.
On a side note, ever since the Exorcist-no Ouija boards in MY house!

I agree. The sidewalk around Jackson Square in the New Orleans French Quarter is full of them at their "reading tables." I always viewed them as cultish and somewhat adjacent to the vodoo, gothic, and witchcraft themes that have attached themselves down here.

I actually got tarot cards for a present once and I've been reading them for my sisters. "Reading" is a strong term since I don't know what any of the cards mean, so I have to go straight off the book definitions, but just based off that, all the readings I've done for people have been super-accurate. Of course, since I know my sisters well, I know situations in their lives that the cards can be applied to, but there were a couple that had no meaning for me but the person I read said they were dead on. I don't read myself though, the one time I did, it was all true except for the future one, which ended up coming true a month later. Could just be coincidence, but it was freaky enough where I won't touch them for myself anymore.

My sister used to read tarot very accurately. I believe in it, but I also believe a large majority of people who read tarot are not psychic, just good at guessing.
