Legacies!

I saw a picture on Facebook, which made me think that it would be interesting to have a thread for legacies and pictures of legacies. This is the photo that triggered the thought:

It's two descendents of Founder Octavia Andrew Rush! Sabrina Rush, Alpha Pi and Amy Rush, Eta Upsilon visited Executive Office and a picture of the two was taken with Octavia's portrait. For the non-ADPis who see this, Octavia is the redhead; the other portrait is Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald.

Does anyone else see the resemblance? They would most probably be fifth or sixth generation descendants!

Let's have more legacy connections, and/or pictures of the relationships!

As has been noted, this is cool and awesome. By the way, are the two young ladies biological sisters?

I feel like I belong on this thread, so here's me with my mom when she surprised me by coming down for my initiation:

There were also probably 20 aunts, moms, sisters, cousins, and grandmothers at initiation, so at least one-third of my pledge class had some sort of familial connection to ADPi.

I was so hoping that you'd post a picture of you with your mom!

Clemsongirl--I LOVE the pic, especially the diamonds on your sweater!

I would love to be able to post a picture in this thread one day with my daughter and/or niece (even though nieces aren't really legacies

Clemsongirl, you are adorable!

I love the pic of the two ADPi legacies to the founder too - how cool is that?

Thanks. They looked like bio sisters, but I wasn't sure since they are in different chapters.

Amy is older, she joined at Wake Forest when they recolonized. Sabrina joined at George Washington University this fall.

I was looking for a photo of this for a while-my good friend and her grandmother plus her little and her grandmother, who are all initiates of the Gamma Lambda chapter at URI!

One of our FR Alphas had her sister come up from Tech for her initiation in December--we kept it totally on the DL and she was surprised during ritual. I think everyone teared up seeing her reaction; you could just feel the love there. And we had a sister come home through a small COR in fall--her grandmother was the Chapter President at Maryland many years ago and she gifted her pin to her granddaughter for Christmas. Grandmother regretfully couldn't attend (we of course invited her--how cool would that have been?!) but she wanted her granddaughter to have something special for her special day

Hey, Honey. I know, I know, I haven't posted on here lately (even though I do lurk), but I see both you and Carnation on FB, so I have let that suffice. But now, with my youngest having been accepted to four SEC schools and going through rush at one of them in August, I guess I'll be over here just a tad more. Anyways...my birth sister and I are both ADPis, but she would KILL me if I posted a picture.
