Right now, our preliminary schedule is as follows:
Friday: 2 p.m. golf tournament
8 p.m. alumni reception
9 p.m. model initiation
Saturday: formal dinner/lunch banquet
In the past we have had great alumni participation in summer golf tournaments, but mediocre response to Homecoming.
Please let me know what everyone thinks and give me some IDEAS!!Thanks!

It sounds like you've planned a nice weekend for both the collegiates and the alumni. I can't think of much right offhand to add except for this:
At the 20th anniversary of our chapter several years ago, one of our alumnae who lived in CA and knew some famous stars had her husband make a videotape of all these famous people saying "Happy Founders' Day, Lambda Pi", "Congratulations DZ!", etc. Then, they played the tape during our formal dinner that Saturday night as a surprise to the sisters. You should have heard all the comments when they hit the Play button and Burt Reynolds' face came on to personally tell us Happy Birthday!
Anyway, I got a little off track, but basically what I'm trying to suggest is that if any of your current actives or alumni have friends in high places, you might be able to come up with a creative presentation to show during your dinner. If nothing else, find old pictures of your chapter (candids, yearbook shots, composite pics, intramurals, etc.) and make a slide show showing the history of your chapter, ending with pictures of your chapter's activities this past year. Throw some good music behind it, and you'll have a great little dinner show.
Good luck! Let us know how it goes!! When is it scheduled, by the way?
