I was reading an article from the Expulsion a student newspaper from George Mason Unversity. I saw this and was suprized ..

"Tau Kappa Epsilon also has an interest in Alzheimer?s; they just adopted Alzheimer?s as their national philanthropy cause this summer, due to the fact that Ronald Reagan is a TKE alumni. The National Fraternity changed their cause to honor him. Nation-wide, Tekes are still involved with Special Olympics their previous cause."

Since when did TKE change its national philanthropy to Alzheimers? I must be out of the loop on that one because I don't remember hearing about that.

we were told form our chapter that we switched over the philanthopy out of respect to Frater Reagan.

Oh the article said that IHQ changed it I guess they miss understood that yout chapter changed its philanthopy.

They sent a letter to every chapter telling us that IHQ decided that in respect to Frater Reagan the philontraphy has been changed you may want to check with you Prytanis or IHQ itself.

Just had to chime in...I was at your Conclave this summer with my TKE and there was a huge announcement about your new national philanthropy. It's just awesome!

I'm sure someone higher up will post soon letting you know exactly why and how that came about.
