Duke?

While researching something else I ran across an article re Duke. It speaks briefly of their "disaffiliation" with LXA. I suspect that this may have been a racial thing. Can you shed any light on this?

I heard that they did not want to allow Jews to join so they disaffiliated. Apparently there were several chapters that did so, that is why you will see several chapters that shut down in 1968.

I believe they gave up their charter around the time the associate member program was being introduced. I think that is what they opposed.
