Arrow room mate question??

Okay, i think i made a mistake. My room mate and I get along really well, and I consider him a really good friend. We had rush sign ups for IFC spring this week and I kind of twisted his arm to do it. He went trhough rush this semester for only one fraternity, but got confused about the time of the last rush, missed it, and I guess he decided it wasn't for him. So do you guys think I made a mistake in getting him to rush? He had fun during the rush parties he went to, and I know he'll have fun in the spring. He is a great guy and I think would be good in a fraternity. I wanted to share the greek experince with him but I think I may have gone too far in getting him to sign up.

Nothing wrong with encouraging a friend to share in an experience that has made you so happy. Could be he needed a little nudging. Besides, ultimately, the choice to actually pledge will still be his in the end. If you feel you should let him know whatever he chooses to do is fine with you, then do so. Just tell him to have a great time. You acted as a good friend.

I agree with justamom-he isn't forced into any kind of commitment just by signing up for rush, just make sure he understands that if he doesnt enjoy it, you will understand and still be his friend, cause you are a GREAT guy like that!!

Cool no mistake

you encouraged him to jump into the pool with you.
at this stage, apparently it didn't work for him. so, to echo the others, just be his friend and let him know there are other times when i might work better.
