Don't forget October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. SO, make sure to complete your monthly self-breast examinations for suspicous lumps, rashes, and discharge. Also don't forget to encourage your family and friends to do so also. Breast Cancer is a leading killer of all women but especially in our communities. We, as African American's don't always have the resources or the knowledge when it comes to health issues so that is one of the major reasons that our mortality rate is always higher than other ethnic groups.
I know through various programs, some women actually qualify for free screenings and examinations, yet they don't know.
So take care Sorors and Sisterfriends...and don't forget to remind a buddy!
