smoke breaks

Okay, sorry to all the smokers out there, but does anyone else have a problem in their office where the smokers take about 20 smoke breaks a day, while those of us non-smokers do not. I get sooooooooo annoyed at this!!! And they seem to think because they are addicted to this yuckey habit(again, sorry smokers--I am just mad) its okay for them to do this. It ticks me off!!!

the Anti-smoke break

Well, I am technically a smoker, however, i don't smoke at work. unless its a very very bad day....there are 2 people in my office who i swear go out every hour to go have a cigaretee and they drive me nuts! so my anti-smoke break is going on greek chat for awhile when they go out. and when my boss says something, i just say its my version of a smoke break.

Smoke breaks do suck for us non smokers, but let me suggest for all the nn smokers get those fake cigs that look like they are lit and blow fake smoke then you can have those breaks too.

I love reading this as own a SMOKE SHOP!!!!!!!!

I go to my surgeon and therapy at the same place and when get a chance STOP and FIRE UP A BUTT saying smokers should ARISE!!!!

Kansas Rep said it it best if women did not have the amendment to vote, there would be a better home life and if people wanted to smoke there would be more taxes!!!!

The 3 biggest taxes items are on Tobacco. Alchohol, and Jewerly!!!!!

How many of you lovely ladies want to give up Jewerly?

I SMOKE, DRINK, But being Single buy NO JEWELRY!!!!! That way I can afford to smoke and drink!!!!!!!

Never be a HIPPOCRIT (SIC) but live and let live!!!!!! You to can be bombed!!!!!!!!

Hell they do not allow tobacco, and Alchohol!!!!!! where we are paying back for what they did to the World not just us!

that may have been the hardest post I've ever seen to read and comprehend. I re-read it around 4 or 5 times, and feel I firmy understood approx. 25% of whatcha said.

I'm gonna have to agree, that post made very little sense.

Back to the topic, I'm still in school, so I don't experience this problem yet, but I'm sure it must be SO annoying. Actually some of the other student employees where I work go out and take smoke breaks while I'm stuck answering the phone and folding phone bills at the same time. It does get on my nerves, now that I think about it.

SCCard, just threw in the Female Kansas Rep. for grins!!!

There is a ton of taxes on Alcohol, Tobacco, and Jewelery! If the Govt. quit trying to get people to stop smoking, more would and there would be more taxes paid!!

Islamics do not beleive in the use of A or T.

I go to the hospital to see my therapist and surgon and all of the nurses rush outside to have a smoke, so I light one up with them and shout smokers arise and fight for our rights!!!!

It is the same kind of do rightous people who raise hell about Tobacco, Alcohol, attacking Bin L and Greek Orgs. They want everything their way.

Get the drift now!?

Typing is far slower than they way my mind works, but sometimes both take a different road at the same time!!!!!

Experts say that if every smoker stopped smoking, that money would pay off the national debt and then some.

Experts also say that if we stopped smoking as a nation, our taxes perhaps would go up but our health care costs would drastically go down, we would spend our somoking money on entertainment so our economy would get a boost, we would have fewer sick days, we would have fewer lost hours/minutes during the work day. Our kids would be smarter because smoking contributes to learning disabilities (experts say.)

Fire fighters wouldn't be so busy putting out fires caused by smokers, insurance rates would be lower, cancer rates would be lower.

I could go on and on but I think you get the idea.

Tom Earp, say all you want but until you respond with a coherent message that I can understand, you won't be hearing from me again.

Go and smoke all you want, I just wish smoking didn't effect anyone else. Because no matter what you say, it does. And please don't compare anti smokers in the same category is the terroists. I think that is called for. I really do.

I totally agree about the smoke break thing---it's unfair! I'm an addict of other things---gum chewing, cell phone talking, and eating...so what if I need a break for those? LOL I don't have a job right now, but next time I get one, maybe I should tell my boss I smoke just so I can get more breaks! j/k

I used to host at this restaurant and it seemed like the smokers would take a “smoke break” every hour on the hour. It was ridiculous especially when we were weeded and they would just disappear. Personally I think it’s a bit inconsiderate when their addiction affects my job performance.

Bah

I smoke and I certainly have enough respect to only smoke on employee designated breaks. HOwever I also work at a hotel so I can't just leave whenever I want.

SO-
lol
My point is...not ALL smokers are like that. I don't nessicarily think it's because their smokers- I think it's because they are simply rude.

I hate to say it, but honestly the whole concept of smoking bugs me. I don't smoke, I choose not to char my lungs and give myself cancer, so why should I be forced to breathe in the air fouled by those who choose to smoke? I know some smokers are careful not to smoke directly around nonsmokers, but why can't everyone be so considerate? Hello, second-hand smoke is just as bad, if not worse, as smoking yourself. I don't mean to offend anyone on here, I'm sure all the smokers here are considerate, right? I just really wish smoking didn't have to affect everyone, only the people that do it.
